The Wind&Waves Festival It has officially presented its 2026 edition, to be held from the July 31 to August 9 in the El Cabezo Beach, in the Medano. The event will bring together the international windsurfing elite in Tenerife with the celebration, for the third consecutive year, of the PWA/WWT Open, Junior and Masters World Championship, both in the female and male category.
The presentation ceremony of the Festival took place at the Playa Surf Hotel and was attended by Lope Afonso, Vice-President and Minister of Tourism of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Dimple Melwani, Tenerife Tourism CEO, Jose Domingo Regalado, Mayor of Granadilla de Abona, Eudita Mendoza, Councilor for Tourism, the Elderly and Equality of the Granadilla de Abona City Council, and Daniel Bruch, CEO of Wind&Waves Festival.
The Vice President and Minister of Tourism of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Lope Afonso, stated that ‘The Wind&Waves Festival is a magnificent example of how Tenerife has managed to turn its extraordinary natural conditions into a competitive advantage to position itself as a benchmark international destination for water sports.
